My personal journey began with years of traveling and trying different coffees. From East to West coast, to the Islands; then over to Europe were I found, and, best understood “coffee” in the wonderful form of “Espresso”!

I fell in love with the Italian way of enjoying the coffee bean. This was my true beginning; never realizing all the different types of coffee I was smuggling back in my flight bag was part of a bigger picture.

“I know”…. so where does the horse come in? When I look back in my life and reflect on the most influential times, I think about my days of riding horses. From age 9 to 16 I rode and showed horses; then I discovered four wheels would get me places faster. Those were awesome times!

StirUp’s story began with a vision and a lot of help from so many talented craftsmen. These amazing people were able to help us bring our dream alive. From the fabricator, to the electrician, welder and painter; to the artist who put a face to StirUp. And, our son who remained calm and positive on the days we were told it could not be done. Also, our amazing roaster who finds the perfect bean and roast them to perfection!

I thank my husband who worked so hard and never once question what we were doing…at least he never showed it.

Finally, I thank my father for always believing in me. The last conversation we had before finding out he was ill was about StirUp…me describing my vision and my father saying “if anyone can do it, you can”.

Whenever I start to question myself; I hear my fathers words.

This is for you dad.
